Curt Schmidt Curt Schmidt is a Registered Professional Geologist and environmental project manager working for a consulting engineering, planning and architecture firm in the NY-NJ metropolitan area. He has a BS in Geological Sciences from Lehigh University and took graduate courses in geology and oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. Curt has 30 years of experience, first in oil and gas exploration along the Gulf Coast, and then he returned to New Jersey to work in the environmental consulting field.

After growing up in Bound Brook and Montgomery Township, he returned to Bound Brook in the mid-1980s and along with his wife, Kathy, has raised two daughters in Bound Brook. He was a long-time volunteer at the Brook when he was asked to join the Board of Directors of the Somerset County Cultural Arts Center in 2008. He is also active as a Deacon at the Congregational Church of Bound Brook, Vice President of the Lehigh Alumni Regional Club of Central Jersey, and Treasurer of the New York-Philadelphia Section of the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists.

Sharon Brienza Sharon has been a resident of Bound Brook since 1982 and was married to Bound Brook native Richard Brienza in 1986. When she first moved to Bound Brook, she could not believe the amount of people who not only grew up there, but stayed and raised their families there. She believes the resurgence of the Theater is just the beginning of getting Bound Brook back to the small town feel where everyone knew everyone and as a Board Director, she is excited to help make that happen. She serves on the Marketing and Programming Committees.

Sharon is the Township Clerk for the Township of Branchburg, a position she has held since 1987. She is a past President of the Municipal Clerks� Association of New Jersey and was the 2009 MCANJ Clerk of the Year. She serves on several Committees of the MCANJ and is an adjunct professor at Rutgers University.

Maria Leamy A resident of Bethlehem Township, NJ, Maria Leamy has been a Bound Brook business owner for seven years. She graduated George Mason University with a B.A. in Business Management and has over 20 years of sales and management experience.

As VP-Sales in her corporate health and wellness business, Health Fairs Direct.com, Maria has assisted other non-profits in raising funds for their annual charity walks, including the Arthritis Foundation and American Diabetes Association. She as been on the Board of Directors for the Brook Arts Center since May 2010 as Marketing Chair and more recently Treasurer. Her goal is to increase public exposure of the Brook Arts Center through marketing and promotions while helping Bound Brook regain their treasured theater.

Don Kalbach Don Kalbach, a Bound Brook resident, has both a B.A. and an M.Ed. in music. He has been the director of performing groups continuously for the past 52 years, as well as playing in an orchestra, singing in a vocal quartet, and being a church organist. He has conducted and performed in orchestras, bands, and handbell choirs, as well as various singing groups, including men?s and women?s barbershop choruses. At present he is director of the Raritan Valley Chorus, violist with the Somerset Valley Orchestra, bass of the Riverside (vocal) Quartet, and organist at the Bound Brook Congregational Church.

Having been a volunteer at the Brook for at least the past 10 years, Don was invited to become a member of the Board of Directors in 2008 and lend his expertise in artistic matters. His vision for the Brook includes restoration of motion-picture capabilities as well as the presentation of high-quality, ?name? acts.

John Buckley, Borough Council Liaison

Charley Nasta Charley Nasta is a graphic designer, editor and educator with over 30 years of experience. He holds a BS in Communications from Cornell University and an MA.Ed in Adult Learning and Distance Education from the University of Phoenix.

Currently the Production Editor and Webmaster at New Horizon Press in Liberty Corner, he was formerly a Professor at the Katharine Gibbs School in Piscataway and also operates his own graphic design business. He resides in Bound Brook.
